As a service provider, J. Lynn designs and develops transition services and programming around the individual using critical assessment data and comprehensive planning. Services are hybrid in nature, are non-congregate and non-cookie cutter. Supports are hired specifically for that student (or adult), curriculum is designed specifically accommodating student’s access to his/her education. The activities/strategies can include, but are not limited to, such things as: Broad curricular areas of needed coursework, educational experiences, or skill training. They include activities (mostly experiential) that are necessary to prepare for and take part in college, continuing education, further skill training, employment and adult living.
Services could include but are not limited to:
- Career development and Planning
- Community based learning including work experiences, community access and living skills
- Paid employment for the disabled
- Functional Vocational Evaluation
- College preparation
